CITI Bad Business Practice!!!

I applied for a Citi Flex loan. They sent me a letter saying that because I was such a great customer and manage my accounts so well, they were please to offer me a line of credit at a low rate. So I applied, that way all my credit cards balance would be one loan.

I was denied the loan because I had one check bounced. I have two credit cards through them. The reason the check bounce was because I had Identity theft issues in one of my cards I have through them. I had to do a close and re-open on both accounts I had through CITI and also my personal Bank Institution.

I had just done a payment to one my accounts right before I was contacted that the other account was compromised. To make the story short, all this cause a check to bounce and getting screwed to the full extent.

They told me this was the reason my loan was denied. I explained to them what happened and told them to contact their co-workers in their other departments to confirm the situations. The New accounts department said that they didn't care. That it was my fault that the check bounced, regardless of the situation. They didn't care about the identity theft issue, which was their fault. (Compromise information)

I called back and forth to different departments in Citi. I try getting Customer Service to helping me. They acknowledge the situation, but decided to do nothing. I called the New Accounts department, they acknowledge the situation, but said it wasn't their responsibility to address the issue.

Save your self the trouble and avoid CITI. You will be grateful in the long run.
